Support Programme for Development of Digital Innovation Hubs

The Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) launched Support Programme for the Development of Digital Innovation Hubs in the Western Balkans. 

This interesting opportunity has been tailor-made for the region's Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) which face various challenges. These range from identifying suitable funding opportunities to capacity-building schemes that can bolster their growth trajectory. 

The programme was designed to equip DIHs with the tools, knowledge, and resources needed to harness available opportunities effectively. In addition to this, it will assist connecting DIHswith partners from the region and the EU. 

Strategic approach for digital innovation hubs

Our strategy involves a two-pronged approach:

First, to inform about funding opportunities and capacity-building schemes. 

The team of experts has curated a comprehensive database of existing and upcoming funding opportunities and capacity-building schemes offerd by EU sources. These opportunities could be of use to DIHs from our region. 

DIHs will be empowered with the information needed to make informed decisions and strategic steps. 

Second, we aim to assist in building a robust pipeline of project concepts that align with the identified funding opportunities. 

By actively engaging in group work and collaborative brainstorming sessions, we intend to develop high-quality innovative project proposals to help DIHs secure the necessary technical and financial backing.

We have partnered with the esteemed consulting firm Econet (FundingBox). 

FundingBox brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table, guaranteeing an enriching and productive engagement.

By participating in this initiative, DIHs from the Western Balkans get a chance to grow and bring themselves a step closer to sustainability.
