Network of European Digital Innovation Hubs – Associated Countries

Network of European Digital Innovation Hubs

Are you a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) looking to embrace digital innovation? Or perhaps a public sector organization seeking to enhance your digital capabilities?

If so, the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) initiative might be just what you need to propel your digital transformation journey.

The European Commission has launched a call for the creation of a network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) aimed at covering all regions of Europe and Associated Countries.

The primary goal of this initiative is to strengthen and extend the existing network of EDIHs, ensuring coverage across all regions of the European Union and Associated Countries.

What exactly is an EDIH?

EDIH stands for European Digital Innovation Hub. It is a single entity or a coordinated group of entities designed to support the digital transformation of companies. The emphasis will be on SMEs and small mid-caps. The programme is open to public sector organizations.

These hubs will provide a wide range of services, including testing before investing, training, skills development, support to find investments, networking, and access to innovation ecosystems.

Moreover, EDIHs will be interconnected and with projects in areas such as High-Performance Computing, Artificial Intelligence, and Cybersecurity.

Scope

Each EDIH will specialize in specific expertise to support local businesses and public sector entities in their digital and green transformation endeavours.

These hubs will act as access points to the broader European network of EDIHs, facilitating support between regions and fostering collaboration among stakeholders.

Furthermore, EDIHs will actively engage in networking activities, sharing best practices, and playing a pivotal role in brokering relationships between public administrations and companies.

The EDIHs initiative aims to support the digital transformation of companies, particularly SMEs and small mid-caps, as well as public sector organizations.

Entities contributing to an EDIH may include research & technology organizations, university labs, chambers of commerce, industrial clusters, and vocational training centres.

Deadline for Submission

It is important to note that the deadline for submission is 10 April 2024 – 17:00:00 CEST (Brussels time).

Don't miss out on this opportunity to be part of Europe's digital innovation ecosystem!

The European Digital Innovation Hubs initiative presents a significant opportunity for businesses and public sector organizations across Europe to accelerate their digital transformation efforts. By leveraging the expertise and support provided by EDIHs, entities can navigate the complexities of digital innovation with confidence and drive sustainable growth in the digital age.
