EIT Jumpstarter has seen a massive improvement in the Western Balkans (WB) compared to 2021.

The programme received 51 applications from the WB in 2021. This is a slight improvement compared to last year’s 45 applications.

An even better news is the number of the Western Balkans' teams accepted to the Bootcamp phase. Last year, 17 WB teams joined the Bootcamp while this year the number almost doubled to 33 teams.

What is more important, 10 seats were automatically reserved for the WB teams in 2021. In 2021, this quota has been cancelled making this a more significant success.

Moreover, there is a significant improvement in the number of teams who successfully pitched their idea and got admission to the second phase of the EIT Jumpstarter program.
