Dialogue4Innovation Project
Dialogue4Innovation is an Interreg Euro-MED Institutional Dialogue project falling under the programme’s Mission “Innovative Sustainable Economy”.
With a budget of approximately 4 million euros, this seven-year project aims to enhance governance and foster a more innovative and sustainable economy in the Mediterranean region.
Some of the Western Balkan economies already participate while other partners may benefit in the future too.
The project involves a wide network of organizations from the public sector, business, research, and civil society.
Dialogue4Innovation Overview and Challenges
The primary objective of Dialogue4Innovation is to enhance coordination, coherence, and alignment of policies and actions for an innovative and sustainable economy across the broader region.
The project will address common territorial challenges to promote better governance in the MED area.
Some of these challenges include maximizing the impact of the Euro-Med Programme, fostering synergies among territorial cooperation actions, and creating an integrated policy value chain that incorporates territorial cooperation into structural policies for jobs and growth.
To overcome the specific challenges faced in the MED region, where cohesion and neighbor policies are critical, the project aims to improve territorial governance.
It will develop tools to enhance the capacity of policymakers and stakeholders to effectively address the Sustainable Development Goals.
By engaging with territorial actors through Transformative Innovation Policy Labs, the project will encourage the adoption of systemic and integrated approaches necessary to tackle the urgent ecological transition challenges.
Building Institutional and Social Dialogue
Dialogue4Innovation seeks to establish a lasting institutional and social dialogue in the Mediterranean.
It will bridge the transnational dimension with local solutions, promoting coordination, policy coherence, and alignment of actions towards an innovative and sustainable economy.
Additionally, the project will support Mediterranean challenge-driven multi-actor alliances to amplify its impact.
It aims to become a reference platform for stakeholders in the Mediterranean innovation ecosystem, fostering open, inclusive, and effective governance.
Furthermore, the project will increase the visibility and relevance of Mediterranean instances at the European and international levels.
The project involves nine partners, namely:
- Emilia-Romagna Region (LP)
