Western Balkans Regular Economic Report, 2024: Retaining the Growth Momentum
The World Bank forecasts that the collective economic growth of the Western Balkans will reach 3.7% in 2025, a revision of 0.2 percentage points upward from the spring edition of the report. As economic growth in the Western Balkans strengthens, the living standards continue to gradually converge with those of more advanced European Union economies. However, retaining the growth momentum and accelerating the pace of convergence requires structural reforms, including those outlined in the European Union’s Growth Plan.
