Innovative teams from Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia are invited to apply to EIT Health competitive programme InnoStars. Also, the programme is open to some other EU Member States too.

EIT Health InnoStars allows the winners to validate their prototype or Minimum Viable Product (MVP) in the market, enhance knowledge and expand networks of contacts.

The 20 applications accepted will receive €25,000 to cover four months of training and mentoring. The programme will allow them to learn from experts, gain insights into their innovation through interviews with potential customers, investors and partners.

Additional training sessions will be provided from two different European locations. The winners will also receive support and invaluable investor connections through EIT Health’s network.

The winners will earn the opportunity to compete for recognition and additional funding in a pitch contest at the end of the programme.

How to apply for EIT Health InnoStar?

The panel of judges will rate applications based on the following criteria:

  • How well-defined your prototype or minimum viable product is
  • Your value proposition
  • The novelty and feasibility of your approach
  • The potential market impact of your innovation
  • The potential impact in the InnoStars region
  • Your team and your fit with EIT Health’s strategic objectives

What happens after EIT Health InnoStar training?

EIT Health InnoStars

After training, EIT Health InnoStars will select the ten teams with the best business plans for the pitch contest.

They could have the chance to pitch their innovations to an international jury of healthcare professionals, representatives of EIT Health, industrial partners and market experts.

Along with gaining recognition for their idea, they could win up to €25,000 in additional support for the launch of their product or service.

Who should apply?

The EIT Health InnoStars programme supports micro- and small enterprises, spin-offs and startups. Interested teams should have a prototype or MVP, but do not yet have a product or service in the market.

They must be able to participate in English and have an established legal entity.

Applications are open until 27th March 2022! Proposals must contain all the required information, be completed via the
online form (Optimy), and be received by the deadline of 16:00 (CET).
